Prayer Request

Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much. James 5:16

I received a call yesterday from my best friend of about 27 years. We live in different states so we do not get to see each other a lot but we keep in touch over the phone and via e-mail. She has had many health problems over the years and it seems like when one thing seems to be straightening out another problem arises. She is undergoing some testing right now for breast cancer. She is 39 and has 4 children. Please pray for her. I know a lot of prayer warriors are on my friends list and others visit my blog so I knew I could ask you to help me in praying for her and her family. I believe in the power of prayer and know that in times of trial God's glory can be revealed through the prayers of His children.
Thank you for your prayers and God Bless you

Back to Normal...almost!

Ahhhh the sweet sound of silence. The girls finally went back to school today after an incredibly long Christmas break. We had a lot of fun last week going shopping, visiting friends, and going out to lunch. Now, it is time for me to get back to my daily routine--starting with house cleaning. All the running around left me behind in my daily chores. So today I moved furniture and vacuumed, did laundry, dusted and all of the basic housecleaning stuff upstairs. Then, I started on my office/sewing room. What a mess it was. During Christmas my basement office becomes gift wrap central. I finally got all the remnants of Christmas out of here and I am ready to get back to normal. My schedule is still a bit busy this week. Not only was today the first day back to school but it was also my oldest daughters Spelling Bee. I do not agree with the decision to schedule the Spelling Bee on the first day back but apparently the powers that be don’t think things through as well as they should. But I digress; J was the winner of the Spelling Bee for her school last year and for the district competition as well. She made it into the county bee last year. This year’s win was not to be. However, she did do very well and made us proud. Friday my 8 year old has her first Spelling Bee so we will be cheering her on. Win or loose we are very proud of both of them for their effort and enthusiasm.
My goal for this year is to sew more. I have an incredible sewing/embroidery machine and all the gadgets I need but it seems I let too many things get in my way. I don’t make New Years Resolutions, but I will do my best to do more sewing and embroidery.
Have a great week.
Don't forget to leave me a comment and let me know you dropped by.
