Thank you for all your prayers and well wishes. It has been a long 2 weeks. I am a homebody to the core and this running around stuff is killing me. I called my dad and checked on him. He sounded better it is going to take him a while to get his strength back. His girlfriend was at the house with him so I know he was in good hands. Bailey’s eye got a clean bill of health. I stayed home most of the day today, I cleaned house, took a nap and caught up on e-mails and blogs. I very much enjoyed my day. Tomorrow is Bailey’s 9th b’day party. (Her actual birthday is the 29th) I managed to get presents, order cake, send out invitations and wrap her gifts during this whole mess. I am looking forward to going to bed early tonight and sleeping past 6 a.m.!!

Hospitals and Eye Doctors
In an attempt to fill everyone in I will start from the beginning. We managed to escape last weekend’s ice storm. The ice storm had some devastating effects on areas surrounding me. My friend in Oklahoma City has 4 children and they missed the entire week of school last week. I have been praying for her all week!! Many people in areas just north of me have been without power all week.
Last Sunday my 8 year old daughter poked herself in the eye. Now a poke in the eye hurts but usually while you are sleeping it heals itself. This was not the case. It was worse by morning.
